- In the cafe, Moira and Jocelyn are discussing the sex of the Schitt's baby and Moira is seen reading a book called "Hint of Amnesia." This is likely a clue for later events in which Moira is unable to recall the sex of the baby listed on the ultrasound.

- This episode could be subtitled "The 'Oh My God' Episode. Klair says "Oh my God" ten times, Alexis five times, and David once. Additionally, Jocelyn says "Oh my goodness" at the beginning while in the Rose Apothecary, and "Oh my gosh" when David and Patrick are decorating the Schitt's house for Jocelyn's 'sprinkle.'

- Paul Shaffer (playing himself in Johnny's intro dream sequence) has known Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy since 1972, when the three of them were involved in a production of Godspell in Toronto. Shaffer was the musical director, and O'Hara and Levy were part of a cast that also included Gilda Radner, Andrea Martin, Victor Garber (who would visit Schitt's Creek in season 6) and Martin Short, whose brother Michael is a writer for Schitt's Creek.
- In the opening dream scene, the guy standing next to Alexis while Moira and David are singing their duet is Stavros. This is the only appearance of Stavros in the entire series.
