Finding David

1. When Roland Schitt answers the phone he pronounces his name as "Roll in $h!t".
2. Stevie is playing Sudoku on her computer in the office when David walks in. Her solution at that point was incorrect, as she had two 7's on the top row of the puzzle.

Family Dinner

1. The rabbit that Ted is treating is named "Hazel," sharing a name with the main character of "Watership Down," a novel about rabbits.

Jazzagals

1. When John (Eugene Levy) is describing to Bob how he sold a car the story mirrors the scene in Vacation (1983) where Clark is sold the family truxter from a car salesman played by Eugene Levy.
2. The only episode of the series in which Chris Elliott (Roland Schitt) is not credited.

Estate Sale

1. This episode introduces Wendy (Robin Duke), and has a scene with both her and Roland (Chris Elliott). Both actors previously appeared together in the movie Groundhog Day, 23 years earlier.
2. After getting Alexis a bicycle, Mutt says that riding a bike is a basic skill that most kids have. Alexis then says that most kids also get head lice but the opportunity never presented itself. In Season 3, Alexis gets head lice

Bob's Bagels

1. John Hemphill, who plays Bob states that he wishes he were a fly on the wall. John played a fly with a man's head in the Maniac Mansion tv show

Moira vs. Town Council

1. This is Tim Rozon's (Mutt's) last episode as a regular cast member in essentially every episode. He appears in two more episodes later in the season and then has appeared a few times for guest appearances later in the series. This may have been to allow him to focus on Wynonna Earp and other projects or just a regular plot event.

1. While David and Alexis are viewing the apartment, Ray mentions that someone committed suicide there but they replaced the ceiling fan. In the season 1 episode Carl's Funeral it's started that Carl was found hanging from a fan.
