    1. LGBTQIA means Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual/Allies. Intersex means having sexual organs of both genders, and is now the preferred term rather than hermaphrodite. Asexual means having no interest in or desire for sex.
    2. Abby asks Rainbow if she has any girlfriends in mind. Her girlfriends are the cast from Girlfriends, starring Tracee Ellis Ross.
    3. Jill Marie Jones says that she's glad that Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) is not her mother. On Girlfriends Lewis did play Jones's mother.

    1. The episode often refers to Dre being short. Anthony Anderson is 5'10" which is 1 inch below most woman refer to as ideal.
    2. After Jack is cut by his Valley Glen Prep basketball team, Dre tells Jack that Michael Jordan was cut from his high school team. That is true. Jordan was cut from his team early in his high school career at EA Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. Jordan went on to hit the game-winning shot for the University of North Carolina in the 1982 NCAA National Championship game. He became the No. 3 pick in the 1984 NBA Draft and would win 6 NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls.
    3. Notorious hype man LaVar Ball--known for promoting his sons Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo--appears in this episode in a conversation with Dre about how to make Jack taller and a basketball player. LaVar also promotes his Big Baller Brand in the episode, and he appears as fictional commissioner of the National Basketball Association when Jack imagines himself being drafted as a power forward by the New York Knicks.
