      1. The music playing in the background of the tattoo parlor scene is one of the songs performed by The Vulture's band in Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Oolong Slayer (2015).
      2. When Jake and Charles are having a drink at Shaw's, Charles is wearing the t-shirt that he borrowed from the Texas Boyles in Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 99 (2017).
      3. Jim Rash starred in Community (2009), which, like this episode, would often parody and pastiche well known movies and tropes. Furthermore, both Jason Mantzoukas (Pimento) and Joe Lo Truglio (Boyle) had guest roles on Community: Mantzoukas played the director of the play Chang starred in (Community: Queer Studies & Advanced Waxing (2015)) and Lo Truglio played Mark, the lawyer friend of Jeff who informed him about his disbarring, in two episodes.
      4. It is revealed that Hitchcock slept with Scully's wife Kelly, which answers the question from Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Ebony Falcon (2014) about whether Kelly was Scully's wife or dog. Later it is revealed that Scully's dog is also named Kelly.

      The Jimmy Jab Games II

      1. The police dog is called "Frisbee". That is also the name of Seth Meyers's Italian Greyhound. Meyers was head writer at SNL while Samberg was on that show. He and Andy Samberg later had a whole bit on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" how Samberg, despite liking dogs in general, supposedly hates Meyers's dog Frisbee with a fiery vengeance.
      2. While it is the second episode to include the Jimmy Jab Games, Jake states that it's the 7th Jimmy Jab Games in the previous episode that included them, so this episode should technically be titled "The Jimmy Jab Games VIII".

          1. In the pub where Jake meets his dad, on the wall is a poster that says "Santos/McGarry." These are the names of candidates for President and Vice President in the final season of The West Wing (1999). Bradley Whitford, who plays Jake's dad, stars as the campaign manager for Santos, played by Jimmy Smits - who incidentally plays Amy's dad.
