Halloween II

1. Apollo Robbins, who plays pickpocket "Fingers" is a sleight of hand master and has given talks on pickpocketing.
2. When Jake is riding in the shopping cart, they pass a subway entrance marked York St (F train). While York St is a real subway station on the F line, it does not have a traditional street staircase entrance. The real station is in Dumbo, Brooklyn and the exit comes out of a building.
3. Captain Holt refers to 'legendary Dutch flautist Frans Brüggen'. Brüggen was born on October 30, 1934 and is mostly known for playing the recorder and as a conductor, though he also played the flute. He died in August 2014, a few months before this episode aired.
4. The character of Eric "Fingers" Martin is referred to as Dan McCreary on more than one occasion, but never Eric Martin. This is likely due to a last minute change to the script.

The Mole

Jake and Sophia

1. It is revealed that Gina is short for Regina.

1. A poster on suspect Kent Delroy's wall is for the band Saves the Day. This was from a show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, on their 2006 tour with openers Circa Survive, Moneen, and Pistolita. It was designed by renowned poster artists Dkng Studios early on in their career..
2. When Jack Danger says "take it away Peralta", Jake replies "will do" then Jake throws the Cassette in the back towards Charles. You see Boyle holding the Cassette and then put it in his pocket stealing it.

The Road Trip

1. Hitchcock's first name is revealed to be "Michael".

The Pontiac Bandit Returns

1. This episode marks the first time Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) rapidly repeats the word "cool" in an attempt to steady himself when visibly nervous or upset; it eventually becomes one of his many catch phrases.
2. 2nd of Craig Robinson's many appearances as Doug Judy (The Pontiac Bandit).
3. Not that it's unfathomable that he would've remembered it, but Doug Judy sings that he can't remember Rosa's last name and then moments later refers to her as Diaz without even a slight realization type reaction.

Stakeout

1. One of the items that Boyle writes on Jake's 'No-No List' is 'no kwazy cupcakes'; an app that Gina and Captain played in the episode 'Tactical Village'.
2. Other items on the No-No List include: no parkour, no letting birds in, no puppets, no using jerky as toothbrush, no peanut butter on binoculars, no talking about your dumb car, no action movie reenactments, and no comparing yourself to Idris Elba - favourable or not.

Beach House

2. At around 12:43, while checking the E-Mail from Terry, in Jake's inbox there are E-Mails visible from "Det. D. Goor", "Sgt. M. Schur", "Det. D. Miner", and "M. O'Brien". These are references to Dan Goor and Mike Schur - the co-creators of the series, David Miner - An Executive Producer of the series, and Matt O'Brien - a credited writer on this episode.

Defense Rests

1. Gina mentions that all the bridesmaids in her mom's wedding would be dressing up as characters from Roseanne (1988). Her mom is played by Sandra Bernhard who played Nancy Bartlett in that series.
2. The bar in the last scene is the same bar as in the show New Girl

Boyle-Linetti Wedding

1. When Gina demands he give her the ring, Jake makes a Lord of the Rings joke, a reference which Gina claims she doesn't get because she's too pretty to watch those kinds of movies. In a subsequent scene, while talking to Lynn Boyle, she likens him (among other things) to a hobbit - a fictional, diminutive, humanoid race - created by Lord of the Rings writer J.R.R. Tolkien.
2. The dress Jenny Gildenhorn is seen wearing in the flashback of Jake's bar mitzvah is the same navy blue satin dress that Jake insists Amy wear on their date in 'The Bet'.

Captain Peralta

1. First appearance of Jake's dad.
2. The "tribute air"airplane that Jake's dad is flying is actually an Emirates 777
3. There are multiple ways to solve the riddle given by Captain Holt. One possible solution goes as follows: You divide the 12 people up into three groups of four people each. You weigh two groups against each other. Then you mix the groups up, weigh again and repeat that one more time. It is important that you don't mix the groups up at random, but carefully in a specific way, so that no two people repeat the same pattern of being weighed. For example, Person A gets weighed on the left side of the scale first, then right, then not weighed at all, and ONLY Person A has that pattern. Then, depending on how and when the scale tipped, you can determine, which person is lighter or heavier. In the example above, if the scale first tips left, then right and finally is even, you know that Person A is heavier than the rest.
4. The riddle given by Holt: "There are twelve men on an island, eleven weigh exactly the same amount, but one of them is slightly lighter or heavier, you must figure out which. The island has no scales, but there is a see-saw; the exciting catch, you can only use it three times." No answer is given.

Sabotage

AC/DC

1. Lets Potato Chips can be seen on the table that Jake and Boyle are sitting out during their stakeout. Lets Potato Chips were also seen in the series "Community"

Det. Dave Majors

1. The pink shirt Rosa is wearing in the opening scene was also worn by Amy in Season 1 Episode 17 titled Full Boyle.
2. Santiago sex tape title (initially misspoken by Jake as "our sex tape" instead of "your sex tape") - "Why doesn't your mouth work?"
3. When Gina bursts into Captain Holt's office exclaiming "Code Chartreuse" he asks her to contain her alerts to ROY-G-BIV. "ROYGBIV" is a mnemonic that helps you remember the order of the colors of the rainbow, which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

The Chopper

1. Debut of the phrase "BingPot!" by Jake, which becomes a commonly used phrase by the rest of the squad in moments of celebration & victory.
2. The first time Jake buttons down his collar, something to subtly impress Amy after the directly previous episode, Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Det. Dave Majors (2015), where he decided to proactively pursue a romantic relationship with her.

Johnny and Dora

1. As Holt is about to leave Jake tells him to go back to being a robot and Holt imitates a robot while saying "meep morp zeep" which is exactly what Jake is doing when he meets Captain Holt.
2. The vending machine contains "Let's" potatoes chips. The same fake brand from Community.
3. This episode basically mirrors another Michael Schur show when Gina tells Holt she is going with him. (Pam tells Michael she is going with him after he quits Dunder Mifflin on The Office)
4. The first episode where Peralta & Santiago kiss (3 times, although the first two were just to perpetuate their cover story while working undercover).
