Missing Pieces

S06E01 Episode aired May 10, 2019
  1. This episode includes an epitaph before the end credits for the late Stan Lee.
  2. Fitz's cryogenic chamber prop is actually a Thule brand rooftop car cargo carrier box. It is the Force model.

  1. Sarge and his gang are looking for what they call PEGs, or PiezoElectric Gems. A piezoelectric crystal will produce an electric charge if it's squeezed, or conversely an applied electric charge will cause the crystal to change its shape.
  2. Window of Opportunity is the first episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. where Phil Coulson does not appear.

Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson

S06E03 Episode aired May 24, 2019
  1. The planet Kitson is named after George Kitson, writer and story editor of several episodes.
  2. When Malachi is searching through the bounties, before coming across Fitz and Enoch, Gamora of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies can briefly be seen.
  3. When the hallucinating Daisy Johnson is meandering around the House of Games, she is narrating a surreal documentation to herself. This is also a direct reference to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, where the main character Raoul Duke, based on the original book's author, Hunter S. Thompson, does just this throughout as he visits the numerous casinos while taking various psychotics.
  4. The title is a reference to Hunter S Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Las Vegas being another gambling mecca.

Code Yellow

S06E04 Episode aired May 31, 2019
  1. The social media influencer, and Deke's girlfriend, Sequoia, was played by executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen and is wife of executive producer Jed Whedon .
  2. Deke's company has lemons everywhere. In Deke's time a lemon was a gift of love, especially his love towards Daisy.
  3. Deke has a model of Coulson's Corvette Lola in his office.
  4. This is the first episode in which Simmons does not appear.
  5. S.H.I.E.L.D. titling the extraction of Deke Shaw a "Code Yellow" is a reference to Shaw's obsession with lemons
  6. This episode is the first appearance of Deke Shaw in season 6.
  7. Portia Bartley plays Kaya, who works for Deke Shaw's California based tech company. They previously appeared as a graffiti artist in S2E5 of Runaways (which is set in LA), linking the two MCU series.

Inescapable

  1. Jemma's fearsome id in her box of troubles has a gold-painted forehead and is wearing the flowing blue attire from when she was enslaved and silenced by the Kree in Season 5. Over this, she is also wearing the tattered blouse she wore when trapped on the planet Maveth in Season 3.
  2. When Altarah states that 5:33 minutes have been wasted, that is the actual time it takes Fitz and Simmons to escape from their alter egos.

New Life

S06E13 Episode aired Aug 2, 2019
  1. This marks the first season to not have 22 episodes. Season 6 concluded after 13 episodes. All previous seasons 1-5 had 22 episodes.
  2. The team travels to when the Empire State Building was being constructed, i.e. New York in 1931.
  3. The pose Melinda May takes before fighting Izel is similar to the one Mulan adopts during her battle against Shan Yu a the end of the 1998 animated film Mulan. May's actress, Ming-Na Wen, voiced Mulan in the film.
  4. Daisy says, "I would say I need a drink, but those are illegal now, aren't they?" At time when the Empire State Building was being constructed (March of 1930 through April of 1931), the American Prohibition was in effect. However, Daisy still could have had a drink, as long as she already had it stashed away. The consumption of alcohol was not illegal - just its manufacture, transportation, and sale.
