1. The opening credits have been edited to include Xolo Mariduena (Victor) who becomes a series regular with this episode. Then-regular-now-recurring Sarah Ramos (Haddie Braverman) does not appear in the opening credits anymore.

Everything Is Not Okay

1. Sam Jaeger, who plays Joel Graham, directs this episode. He is the second cast member to get behind the camera after Peter Krause (who plays Adam Braverman) who directed episode 3x15 Politics. Although credited, Miles Heizer (Drew Holt) does not appear in this episode.
2. Max talks to a girl at school about the vending machine. This girl is in the show 13 Reasons Why with Miles Heizer, Drew.

The Talk

1. Crosby uses a reference to Voldemort while talking to Jabbar about the 'n' word. We learnt in episode 3x08 In Between that they have read the Harry Potter series together. Adam and Kristina have finally got a dog.

1. The episode title is actually the last line in the episode where Kristina tells her family about her cancer.

1. The girl who is running for Student Council President against Max is played by Emily Evan Rae, older sister of Savannah Paige Rae who plays Julia and Joel's daughter Sydney.
2. Max's school is called Cedar Knoll Middle School. He becomes class president in this episode. Adam and Kristina's family dog is called Otis.
