Following the tradition of art institutions being named after White Collar crew members (Previous examples being museums named "the Powell" and "the Channing" both named after show Story Editor Channing Powell) the gallery that Elizabeth used to work for when she met Peter was "The DeArmitt Gallery" which is named after White Collar Writer's Assistant Jenny DeArmitt!

  1. Danny Masterson and Christopher Masterson, who play the brothers Josh and James Roland, are also real life brothers.
  2. When Neal and Mozzie are looking at their "loot cam," the top of the Ark of the Covenant is visible on the left.
  3. In the beginning of the episode Peter says that Tycho Brahe was from Holland. The truth is that he was born in Scania, then part of Denmark, now part of modern-day Sweden.
  4. In this episode Mozzie references two authors: Scott Turow (Presumed Innocent) and Dan Brown (The DaVinci Code). Both are Amherst College alumni.

  1. The photograph used for the deceased numbers runner Peter talks about (known as Eddie Nine Ball by Mozzie shortly after) features the exact same "dead guy" that was used as the photograph of the first of Ghovat's victims in White Collar: Threads (2009). The only difference between the photographs is the angle at which they were taken at.
  2. Al Sapienza who plays Frank Deluca Jr. and Robert John Burk who plays Patrick O'Leary both guest starred together as recurring characters Raymond Terney and Patrick Simmons of the law enforcement crime syndicate "HR" on person of Interest.

Veiled Threat

S03E05 Episode aired 5 July 2011
  1. In veiled threat when Neal, Jones, and Peter go undercover to catch the black widow Neal pretends to be a bachelor from Stanton, Texas. In real life Matt Bomer's middle name is Stanton and he really is from Texas.
  2. Marsha Thomason's (Diana's) true English accent comes out while in the stakeout van having dinner with Neal and she asks "you ever cook like this for Sarah?"

Scott Free

S03E06 Episode aired 12 July 2011
  1. Matt Bomer and Dana Ashbrook are distantly related in real life.Both descend from the English Baldwin family.
  2. When Neal objects to Moz calling Scott "a good kid", Moz concedes that maybe Scott is "chaotic good" instead. This is a reference to the alignment system from the D&D games systems.
  3. This episode features Dana Ashbrook, following the previous episode which featured Mädchen Amick. They both starred in Twin Peaks (1990).
  4. Hutch Dano (Scott) previously starred in Zeke and Luther as one of the two title characters. The actor who played the other, Adam Hicks, was in real life arrested for a string of robberies in 2018.

Taking Account

  1. At the end of the episode, when Sarah Ellis opens up Neal's lap top, before the password screen pops up, the screen is set to the cello and bass orchestral part to the Overture to Mozart's Marriage of Figaro.
  2. The password to the treasure cam is draupnir, which in Norse mythology is the name of Odin's magical golden ring.

  3. When pretending to be an Interpol agent to get info from Sara Keller uses a Scottish accent. In real life Ross Mcall is Scottish.

  1. Earlier this season, Neal told Sara that Mozzie's been knocking in iambic pentameter recently. In this episode, he does.
  2. The title "Countdown" is in reference to an ultimatum that Mozzie gives Neal.

Checkmate

S03E11 Episode aired 17 January 2012
  1. Willie Garson and Thomas Kopache appeared in an episode of "The X-Files" together - "The Walk" (S03E07).
  2. Neal's (and Matt Bomer's) knowledge of how to use a gun comes in handy again in this episode, a callback to the season one episode, "Vital Signs".

  1. Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer also worked together on Magic Mike (2012) around the same time.
  2. Joe Manganiello (Ben) and Matt Bomer (Neal) go to a strip club together in this episode. The actors appear together in Magic Mike as strippers.

Pulling Strings

  1. Neal asks Diana to compare a possible suspect to the woman in a still from a corrupted security tape, referring to the photo as a Klimt portrait since the picture is washed out to mostly a gold color. Gustav Klimt went through a 'Golden Phase' wherein many of his paintings include gold leaf. The most famous of these paintings include "The Kiss" and "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I", also known as "The Woman in Gold".

  1. This was Tim DeKay's directing debut.
  2. After the display is smashed, you can briefly see Tim DeKay's kids.

Judgment Day

  1. The props department thought of putting the anklet on the cat cake at the last minute.
  2. The backdrop outside of Ellen's apartment - the river - is an actual view. It's not a fake.
  3. Due to many scenes being filmed at once, Matt's stunt double was used for scenes where you see Neal running down the street.
  4. During filming in the trams, both Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer were both on set - one just behind the camera in moments where there was only supposed to be one on the tram.
  5. There was an earthquake in New York during the filming of the scenes on the tram.
  6. The name Sterling Bosch was just two random words Jeff Eastin put together.
  7. The offices of Sterling Bosch shot at two different locations. Sara's office being in one building and the lobby being a totally different (abandoned) building.
  8. Both Matt Bomer and Judith Ivey are native Texans.
  9. Jeff Eastin has the copy made of the Raphael hanging in his house.
  10. At the end where Peter is signalling Neal to run, in the commentary Matt Bomer mentions he couldn't actually see what Tim DeKay was doing from where he was standing and didn't find out until he watched the episode.
  11. According to Jeff Eastin, Ellen was lying when she said Kate came to pick up the Raphael but decided to leave it for Neal. Kate never showed up.
  12. When Neal is running at the end and is on the plane, the other people on the plane are writers and crew members of the show.
