S03E01 Episode aired 21 March 2010
  1. The girl at the high school gymnasium who speaks into the microphone questioning the existence of God in light of Wayfarer 515 is actually played by Taylor Dearden, Bryan Cranston's real life daughter, and the woman interviewed on television about the crash, Robin Dearden. is her mother.
  2. Luis Moncada has tattoos on his eyelids reading "Fuck" and "You". They had to be carefully covered with makeup. When Bryan Cranston asked if his eyelid tattoos hurt, Moncada stated that the needle did not hurt but the metal spoon that they had to place over his eyeballs did.
  3. The boots worn by the cousins (Leonel and Marco Salamanca) are tipped with silver skulls in the opening scene. The same silver skull can be seen in the key chain of Jesse Pinkman in the "Seven Thirty Seven" episode (season 2 episode 1)
  4. In the scene where the cousins blew up the truck, the footage of the explosion was filmed from far away using a long-focus lens. This had the effect of shallowing the perspective, and making the explosion appear much closer to the actors than it really was.
  5. The student who is first speaking in the school gymnasium while everyone is grieving the plane crash, Barry, is the same student from Breaking Bad: Negro Y Azul (2009). In that episode Barry is halfheartedly trying to convince Walter that he "studied, like, a lot" and should be given a passing grade on a failed chemistry test. In this episode he is halfheartedly trying to convince the school administration that he and the other students deserve "like, an automatic A" due to traumatic event.
  6. 'No Más' means 'No more' in English.
  7. Bryan Cranston's daughter, Taylor Dearden (credited as Taylor Cranston), appears as a high school student talking about her feelings after the plane crash in the gym assembly.
  8. In the scene in which Walt decides to burn his money, Bryan Cranston is literally on fire before he jumps in the pool.

S03E02 Episode aired 28 March 2010
  1. It took only one take for Bryan Cranston to throw the pizza onto the roof. Cranston can be seen being genuinely surprised at the result.
  2. Jesse's aunt's house is a completely different house than was shown in previous episodes. According to Vince Gilligan, the owners of the original house sold it so the production team had to find another location. This is explained by showing renovations being done on the house.
  3. "Caballo Sin Nombre" roughly translates to "Horse With No Name", the title of a 1971 hit song by America and part of this episode's soundtrack.
  4. In the scene where Mike calls Gus to tell him about the cousins breaking into Walter's house, Gus is seen looking at blueprints in his laundry business. Just a few episodes later his hidden superlab is revealed, giving purpose to his blueprints.

I.F.T.

  1. Dedicated to Shari Rhodes, who is credited for location casting and for her sole career speaking role on screen.
  2. This episode's title I.F.T may be an abbreviation of what Skyler says to Walt at the end of the episode, I Fucked Ted.
  3. Danny Trejo's character, Tortuga, is decapitated with a machete. Trejo played the Mexican vigilante Machete in Machete and Machete Kills.

Green Light

S03E04 Episode aired 11 April 2010
  1. The ATM Hank used to get the pictures of the RV that Walt and Jesse used to cook meth is the same ATM that was used to kill Spooge (the man who helped to steal meth from Skinny Pete). You can see the red blood on the bottom of the ATM in the scene.
  2. The oldie Walt is listening to on the radio in the very last scene is, "In The Valley Of The Sun" by Buddy Stuart.
  3. The gas station that Jesse gets gas is also in the movie Paul.

S03E05 Episode aired 18 April 2010
  1. Combo's reference to the sale of the RV being a "no paperwork kind of deal" is a spoof on the title of the last episode of season one "a no rough stuff type deal".
  2. In "No Mas" (meaning "no more" in Spanish) the first episode of this season, Walter declined Gustavo's offer to work together, saying he was done cooking crystal meth. In this episode, titled "Mas", Gustavo shows Walter the superlab and gets him to come back to the cooking business.
  3. Más in english translates to "more".

Sunset

S03E06 Episode aired 25 April 2010
  1. This is the first time we see one of the Salamanca cousins speak onscreen.
  2. Walt Jr. is wearing a polo shirt with the Everton Football Club crest on it during a scene where is he being driven by Walt Sr., indicating that Walt Jr. is a supporter of the English club.

One Minute

S03E07 Episode aired 2 May 2010
  1. When Hank is sitting in his car towards the end the time reads 3.07. "One Minute" is the 7th episode of the 3rd season i.e. 3.07.
  2. During the flashback at the beginning of this episode, Don Salamanca is seen sitting in a chair reminiscent of a wheelchair, like the one he ends up confined to later in life.
  3. The trucker that the cousins purchase the vests from drives a replica of the Kenworth that appeared on the show B.J. and the Bear.
  4. Last appearance of Marco Salamanca.
  5. The Salamanca Twins attack Hank at 3:08. Walt's home address is 308 Negro Arroyo Lane.

I See You

S03E08 Episode aired 9 May 2010
  1. The title of this episode is a pun on I.C.U, Intensive Care Unit, where most of the action takes place.
  2. With Walter engineering Gale Boetticher's replacement by Jesse, for reasons unrelated to competence or the daily 'business' routine, Gale falls victim to precisely the kind of political machinations and non-chemistry factors that made him leave academia and become a criminal in the first place, as he told Walter previously.
  3. The book that Walt hands to Walter Jr. in the hospital waiting room is a hardcover copy of "Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World's Greatest Outlaw" by Mark Bowden. Walter Jr. states that the book was a gift from Hank.
  4. Water Jr. says he is reading a book on Pablo Escobar and the agents who took him down. Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White, starred in a film in 2016 entitled "The Infiltrator."
  5. The doctor working on Hank Schrader asks for a blood pressure cuff, this is actually known as a Sphygmomanometer.
  6. Last appearance of Leonel Salamanca.

Kafkaesque

S03E09 Episode aired 16 May 2010
  1. During the one on one table conversation between Walt and Gus, the light shines in to only show one half of their face on every shot, giving the impression that both men have 'other personalities'
  2. This episode counts 4 Seinfeld alumni: Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk and Mark Harelik (aka Milos the lousy tennis player) who plays the doctor in this episode.
  3. Although he appears, RJ Mitte (Walter White, Jr.) has only one line in this episode. ("Man he got you good")
  4. The definition of "Kafkaesque" is relating to or suggestive of the German writer Franz Kafka.

Fly

S03E10 Episode aired 23 May 2010
  1. This is the only episode in the entire series where Skyler White, played by Anna Gunn, does not appear.
  2. This is a "bottle episode", an episode with limited cast and sets produced due to limited budget. The show had spent much of the budget on the building of the superlab so a low-cost episode was needed.
  3. Walt's shoe hanging from the ceiling is a reference to the common urban legend that shoes hanging from wires indicate a drug dealers' meeting point.
  4. The filming of the scene where Walt falls from the railing utilized a unique process. A stunt double initially fell and members of the crew took pictures of his landing. Cranston then assumed the same exact position and close-ups were taken of his face.
  5. Voted by Watchmojo.com as the single best bottle episode ever made, however it received the least favorable rating (7.7) in the entire series by over 13,000 IMDb contributors.
  6. Rian Johnson has the distinction of directing both the lowest-rated (Fly) and the highest-rated (Ozymandias) episodes of the show.
  7. In this episode, Bryan Cranston gets involved in a dangerous battle with a fly. Cranston previously had an extremely dramatic fight with a bee in an episode of Malcolm in the Middle (2000)
  8. Jesse calls Walter's fly swatter a "fly saber." The director of this episode, Rian Johnson, was later picked to direct Star Wars Episode VIII.
  9. The shot of the fly sitting on Walter White's glasses is an homage to a Doonesbury comic strip from 1986.
  10. This episode aired the same day as the series finale of Lost (2004).
  11. On the DVD audio commentary of this episode, show creator Vince Gilligan mentioned having recently read director Rian Johnson's screenplay for the still-unmade film Looper (2012). Gilligan praised the screenplay repeatedly and said how excited he was to see it eventually brought to the screen.
  12. At the end of the episode when Walt looks up and sees a fly in his smoke alarm he seems to come to the realization that his new lab is "bugged" as he references in the next episode.

Abiquiu

S03E11 Episode aired 30 May 2010
  1. When Walter and Skyler visit the lawyer, the scene cuts to a shot that displays a Master of Arts degree from the University of American Samoa presented to Saul Goodman. In the prequel series "Better Call Saul" we learn that a law degree was earned by Saul, but at the time still went by his real name, James McGill.
  2. In the flashback scene to Jesse and Jane visiting the Georgia O'Keeffe museum, when Jesse implies that Jane is perfect, Jane says, "Aww, that was so sweet I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit." That is exactly how she dies.
  3. It is revealed that Tomás was the kid who shot Combo.
  4. When Saul Goodman was talking to Skyler and Walter for money laundering, he said "wait for it... a laser tag". In the series How I Met Your Mother, which Bob Odenkirk also plays in, one of the main character Barney Stinson is constantly saying "wait for it..." and is also a big fan of laser tag.

Half Measures

S03E12 Episode aired 6 June 2010
  1. Last appearance of Wendy.
  2. When Walt and Walt Jr are watching jeopardy, the question asked on the game show, that Walt correctly answers, references a Walt Whitman verse. A bit of foreshadowing as a Walt Whitman book, later in the series, leads to the discovery by Hank that Walt is the drug dealer Heisenberg, which in turn leads to everyone in his life discovering the truth.

Full Measure

S03E13 Episode aired 13 June 2010
  1. The song that Gale sings is called "Crapa Pelada". It translates to "bald head" and the lyrics closely mirror Walt's life thus far: Ladies and gentlemen, i want to tell you/ the story that drives me to despair/For seven months now, I have watched my hair fall out/Now i'm bald, disappointed, sad/ I don't know what to do about it.
  2. In a deleted scene it shows that the home salesman's last name is McGill. This is Saul's real last name (Saul's real name is Jimmy McGill). So this hints that the salesman is Saul's brother
  3. Jesse doesn't show up until 32 minutes in.
