Unaired Pilot

1. The same 2005 gray Toyota Corolla CE appears in every episode of Numb3rs.
2. The only actors in both versions of the pilot were David Krumholtz, Peter MacNicol, Alimi Ballard and Navi Rawat.
3. In this original version of the pilot, the FBI boss was female and had a much larger role. The character of Terry was a much smaller role, while Don's partner was a man. The surname of the three protagonists in this version of the pilot was Emrick, not Eppes.
4. This original version of the pilot episode had the events take place in Boston and at MIT in Cambridge, MA instead of L.A. and CalTech in Pasadena, CA.

Uncertainty Principle

1. Don and Charlie graduated high school on the same day.
2. The explanation of the uncertainty principle in this episode has been confused with the so-called observer effect. Both are aspects of quantum mechanics, but the uncertainty principle states the impossibility to measure the value of some pairs of variables (so-called conjugate quantities) like location and speed of a particle at the same time with absolute certainty, while the observer effect states that observing an object always has an effect on the object.
3. When he was three, Charlie could multiply four digit numbers in his head.
4. Alan's wife, and Charlie and Don's mother, died of cancer.
5. The local news station shown in this episode was Channel 8.

Vector

1. Rainn Wilson's character (Martin Grolsch) is named after one of the most popular Dutch beers: Grolsch. Grolsch is named after a town, and it's not at all a common last name, not even in The Netherlands.
