My Mirror Image

S06E01 Episode aired 30 November 2006
  1. The name of J.D.'s "mirror image", Mrs. Zeebee, is an obvious reference to actor Zach Braff's initials, ZB.
  2. In this episode, the patient to whom Dr. Cox relates (for their mutual anger management issues) is named Mr. Slydell. John C. McGinley (who plays the part of Dr. Cox) plays a character by the name of Bob Slydell in the movie Office Space (1999).
  3. The Janitor's mirror image says he spent most of his life trying to become a lawyer but could never get his Jurist Doctorate - he "spent years trying to get that damned JD" (i.e. the Janitor has spent years trying to get JD).

My Best Friend's Baby's Baby and My Baby's Baby

  1. The statement given by Dr. Cox after his son asks about the streaming suggests that Carla is born in 1971, and has been working in the hospital since she was 21-22 years old.
  2. Years before he shows up as "Jimmy the overly touchy orderly", Taran Killam can be seen briefly behind JD and Kim as they have a conversation about how they "technically haven't had sex yet". He is one of the orderlies talking in the hallway.
  3. The logo of the fast food restaurant that J.D. and Turk stop at in the beginning of the episode, "Burger Empire" is in the same style and font as The Star Wars movie "The Empire Strikes Back".
  4. The full title for this episode is "My Best Friend's Baby's Baby and My Baby's Baby (aka The Baby Episode)"
  5. When Jordan tells Kim and JD about the abortion she had at 19, she mentions her boyfriend's name was Andy. Christy Miller (who portrays Jordan) later goes on to play Ellie Torres in Cougar Town, who is married to an Andy Torres.
  6. In the shot after Elliot announces that Turk and Carla's baby was taken to the NICU, you can see series creator Bill Lawrence in the background of the shot listening to Elliott's announcement and wearing a yellow shirt.

My Coffee

  1. When Elliot screams "Stop finishing my awesome jokes!" J.D.'s reaction was not scripted, Sarah Chalke, had not told anyone she was going to do the line this way and when J.D. said "Oh my God" it was Zach Braff's real reaction.
  2. Coffeebucks is likely used in place of Starbucks for copyright reasons.
  3. The coffee chain "Coffee bucks" is a parody of the real life Starbucks, where people just seem to queue up for it. It appears in both Scrubs (2001) and Cougar Town (2009), where Christa Miller is also a cast.
  4. One of the customers in line is Darth Vader.

My House

  1. The patient having orange skin is based on a small scene in the pilot episode of House, where a clinic patient has orange skin too. House guesses that the patient eats too many carrots and has been taking too much of the drug 'Niacin'

My Friend with Money

S06E05 Episode aired 11 January 2007
  1. Jordan tells Carla that Carla can't get through her post-partum depression by "taking advice from a movie actor and the dead science-fiction writer he worships". She's referring to Tom Cruise and L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, which is generally opposed to the use of psychoactive medications, including antidepressants.

My Musical

S06E06 Episode aired 18 January 2007
  1. The entire cast does their own singing and dancing, with the exception of John C. McGinley, who jump roped during the opening number to cover the fact that he couldn't dance.
  2. In the song "Everything Comes Down to Poo," according to composer Jeff Marx, the lyrics "It may sound gross / You may say shush / But we need to see / What comes out of your tush" were originally "It may sound gross / It may sound crass / But we need to see / What comes out of your ass."
  3. Judy Reyes fractured her pelvis shortly before filming, which is why she sits in a chair for "It's Gonna be a Long Year." For the number "The Truth Comes Out" she is seen walking in front Ms. Miller's bed, which is her, but for the other parts, it is her double. The number "Dominican", was filmed 5 weeks after her injury.
  4. Three people from the hit Broadway show "Avenue Q" were involved in making this episode. Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, the creators and songwriters of Avenue Q wrote the majority of the songs in this episode and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Patti Miller) originated the roles of Kate Monster, Lucy T. Slut, one of the singing Moving Boxes and the voice of the Suicidal Woman in the Broadway production.
  5. The episode won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.
  6. Jeff Marx: one of the composers of the songs in this episode, has an uncredited role as the pharmacist in the background during "Gonna Miss You Carla".

His Story IV

S06E07 Episode aired 1 February 2007
  1. The janitor says that the US should look for Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. In 2011 this is in fact where he was found and killed.
  2. In this episode, when discussing newspaper comic strips, J.D. mentions "The Boondocks". Both Donald Faison (Turk) and John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox) have voiced characters on the show "The Boondocks", which is based on the comic strip.
  3. Sam Lloyd does his own stunts in the "Human Magic 8-Ball" sequence as well as the pratfall following that.
  4. Sixth episode not to have "My" in the title.

My Road to Nowhere

  1. Turk's ring tone is "Guy Love" from the episode "My Musical."
  2. Running gag: people doing the fist pump that results in truckers honking their horns.
  3. It is revealed that Keith has a grandmother who is 96 years old.

  1. Judy Reyes limps and uses a cane because of the pelvis fracture she suffered at the start of the year.
  2. The police officer that pulls JD over charges him with drinking and driving however he says in this state which further states the location of the show as California where DUI can result in either jail time or a temporary license suspension.

My Therapeutic Month

  1. The former jocks JD encounters in his daydream date are wearing TC Williams letter jackets. TC Williams was the Virgina high school depicted in Remember the Titans (2000). 'Donald Faison' (Turk) played "Petey" in that film.
  2. The two songs that JD and Lloyd are listening to on the way to the hospital are 'The Devils Son' and 'Driving Down' the Darkness by Devildriver; off of their self titled debut and sophomore album The Fury of Our Maker's Hand.
  3. Joe Manganiello cameos as one of the jocks in JD's daydream.

My Night to Remember

S06E11 Episode aired 1 March 2007
  1. In this episode, Dr. Cox has a shaved scalp. In the following episode "My Fishbowl" he has curly hair again, as the episodes were shown out of order. He doesn't shave his head until 4 episodes later "My Long Goodbye," after commenting that nobody liked his curly haircut.
  2. This is the lowest rated scrubs episode.
  3. This has the least amount of content for the entire series, with only 40% of the 21 minutes not filled with footage from previous episodes.

My Fishbowl

  1. JD flashes back to when he and Turk were in college. In several shots there are posters indicating the College of William and Mary (W&M with trademark feathers and Tribe, which is the William and Mary mascot). Creator Bill Lawrence went to William & Mary, so he made Turk & JD alumni as well.

    1. The football players letterman jackets are the same ones from Remember the Titans (2000).
    2. This episode was submitted for Emmy consideration for Sarah Chalke in the category Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
    3. In this episode Laverne mentions Jordan's pre-natal surgery where the daughter is born. In thw next episode continuing the cliffhanger of Laverne in a coma, Jordan is still pregnant & Cox shaves his head yet a few episodes ago when he plays a game with the interns to see who will stay forever his head was shaved. Very large mix up & episodes aired in different order
    4. This is the last appearance of Laverne in the series as she dies in the next episode as well as the last appearance of Aloma Wright until season 7 when she returns as Laverne's twin sister Shirley.

    My Long Goodbye

    S06E15 Episode aired 5 April 2007
    1. Carla asks Dr. Cox if he's ever been followed by the memory of a loved one, like a ghost. Dr. Cox says no, because "I'm a sane person." However, in "My Screwup" (3.14), he is followed by the memory of Ben Sullivan, his ex-wife Jordan's brother and his close friend. And also in this same episode after Carla asks this, he sees Jill Tracey who died in "My Lunch" (5.20).
    2. The song playing over the final scene is 'A Bad Dream' by Keane.
    3. This storyline was created because the producers thought this was the last season of the show. Aloma Wright was promised by Bill Lawrence that she would have a part if the show got renewed. When she returned as Shirley, Wright said. "I'm glad to know he's a man of his word and I've still got a job."
    4. In one of the last scenes in which Carla says a final goodbye to Laverne, Aloma Wright , despite the fact that she is supposed to be playing a comatose person, can be seen visibly shedding a tear, possibly because of the emotionally moving nature of the performance given by 'Judy Reyes' .
    5. Aloma Wright would return in Season 7 as Shirley.

      1. In Jordan's fantasy, the little girl she's dancing with is actually the real life daughter of her and Bill Lawrence, Charlotte.
      2. In the coffee shop scene where Jordan explains that her parents were mean to her, the creator of the show Bill Lawrence can be seen and heard in the background saying, "They were mean, apparently."
      3. It is revealed that Snoop Dogg Resident's real name is Ronald.
      4. This episode marks the first time Ted's mother is shown on screen. (She had been spoken to off-screen once, in Season 6 episode 13 "My Scrubs")
      5. This is the first time in 6 years that the Todd has been addressed by a surname "Quinlan". Many fans initially jumped on a prop name tag, assuming that Quinlan was in fact his last name, as told by Bill Lawrence on the DVD audio commentaries.
      6. This is the first episode with the title not beginning with either "My", "His", or "Her", although it continues the pattern of the first word being a Possessive determiner.
      7. Sixth episode to not have "My" in the title.

      My Turf War

      1. Kerri Russell was 6 months pregnant during filming. They had to use creative angles and the coat she is wearing to hide it.
      2. Air banding was only temporarily banned by Dr. Kelso. Once Turk apologized to Dr. Kelso he removed the signs prohibiting air banding.

        2. Creator Bill Lawrence can be seen fleeing from the gift shop carrying a large bear when Dr. Cox screams at everyone to leave.
        3. The lawyer Ted is yelling at, Jim Sokolove is an American attorney known for advertising legal services on television out of Massachusetts. He was the largest legal advertiser in the United States in 2007, when the episode originally aired.
        4. This was the last episode co-produced by Touchstone Television.
        5. Season 6 was the final FULL season of the series. Season 7 was shortened due to the writers' strike. Season 8 was to finish the series (as Season 7 was the initial final season). Season 9, the final season, was also only a half a season.
