        2. Martin says that his camera is a "Schmeerblatz 7XK", but the label for the actual medium-format camera, a "Mamiya", is visible on the front of the camera above the lens.
        3. Noel agrees to help Frasier translate a short speech into Hebrew and help him learn how to say it for Frederick's Bar Mitzvah in exchange for a signed autograph of Scott Bakula, thus completing his Star Trek Enterprise captains autograph collection. Kelsey Grammer also played a Starfleet captain. Grammer played Captain Morgan Bateson of the USS Bozeman in Star Trek: The Next Generation: Cause and Effect (1992).

        1. Daniel Davis plays Dr. Shafer, who will be performing Niles' heart bypass surgery. Davis also played the character Niles the Butler in The Nanny (1993), whose character also has to have heart bypass surgery later in the series.
        2. It won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Series.
        3. The comic book which Martin brings to Niles (in the present day) is "Archie Giant Series Magazine #183: The World of Jughead", cover-dated February 1971.

        Don't Go Breaking My Heart

        1. The title is from the Christmas carol, We Three Kings of Orient Are.
        2. Dean Cain and David Hyde Pierce had previously worked together on the kids cartoon show Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child. It is no surprise that Dean Cain plays Santa in the episode as Christmas is his favorite holiday.

        Door Jam

        1. The name of the upscale day spa that Frasier and Niles visit is aptly named La Porte D'argent, which is French for "The Silver Door." Furthermore, "argent" also means "money" in French.

        The Harassed

        S10E12 Episode aired 14 January 2003
        1. In this episode Frasier and Julia Wilcox are having a heated argument, during which Frasier asks Julia "Are you as turned on as I am?" In the Cheers (1982) episode Cheers: Show Down: Part 2 (1983) Sam and Diane are having a similarly big argument. During this argument Sam asks the exact same question, to which Diane replies "More!" and they kiss. It aired in 1983, and as an in-joke Bulldog later criticizes Frasier's rather dated choice of line by saying that no one has used the term "turned on" for 20 years.
        2. Mike Judge gives a nod to his Beavis and Butthead character Mr. Van Driessen by playing as "Van".
        3. When Frasier and Julia are arguing mimics the argument Frasier had with Kate in Frasier: Sleeping with the Enemy (1995). Frasier calls both women "Shrew!" at the end of their arguments, only the argument with Kate ends in a kiss where the argument with Julia ends in disgust.

        1. During the opening scene Lillith comments on Albert's (Brent Spiner) pale appearance. Albert replies, "I'm always this pale." This is probably a reference to Spiner's character Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), whose make up also featured very pale skin.

              2. The setup in Bebe's room with Frasier and Bebe, was a spoof from "The Devils Advacate" with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves in Al's characters room. Well done and tasteful.

              Fathers and Sons

              1. Kelsey Grammer and David Ogden Stiers have known each other since attending Julliard.
              2. David Ogden Stiers's character of Major Winchester on M*A*S*H (1972) has been considered the inspiration for the creation of Frasier on Cheers (1982). Both were high society doctors surrounded by blue collar comrades. Interestingly, Winchester was from Boston while Cheers was set in Boston.
              3. In this episode, the character Leland (played by David Ogden Stiers) claims to be gay but did not make it public until many years after the death of Martins wife. Several years later, the actor himself would make his homosexuality public knowledge.
