S03E08

I Was a Teenage Spy

S03E19

  5. Tom Bosley played Mel McFadden the grandfather of Marvin McFadden on One Tree Hill. Lee Norris who played Marvin McFadden also played Stuart Minkus on Boy Meets World.
  6. When Cory says, "Great Caesar's Ghost! I've gone back in time!", it references Doc Brown's catchphrase from Back to the Future (1985).
  7. "I Was a Spy" is the title of the 1933 British film thriller based on the 1932 memoir, of the same name, by Marthe Cnockaert. The film is about a Belgian woman who nurses injured German soldiers during World War I while passing intelligence to the British.

I Never Sang for My Legal Guardian

S03E20 
  1. Cory's mispronouncing puberty as "poo-berty" was not originally in the script. Ben Savage hates saying the word puberty, so he pronounced it differently during filming. Anthony Tyler Quinn's reaction is real.
  2. This episode is the first episode Cory, Shawn, and Topanga are in 10th grade. Life Lessons (Production No. B664) took place during finals the previous year and this episode (Production No. B665) takes place during midterms a year later. Although it is never stated as a time jump, the creators wanted to age up the actors who were now 16-17 years old.

The Happiest Show on Earth

S03E21 
  1. This episode features a crossover from another ABC sitcom, Step by Step (1991). At the time, both shows had episodes where the characters went to Disney World. Step by Step (1991)'s was the two-part episode Step by Step: We're Going to Disney World: Part 1 (1996) and Step by Step: We're Going to Disney World: Part 2 (1996). The latter aired on May 10, 1996, the same day as this episode. Staci Keanan makes a cameo appearance as her Step by Step (1991) character Dana Foster, whom Cory meets while she is feeding the dolphins. Coincidentally, Jason Marsden - who played Eric's best friend, who was also named Jason Marsden in the first two seasons - played the character Rich Halke in Step by Step (1991) at that time as well.
  2. This episode is now the third episode Cory, Shawn, and Topanga are in 10th grade. The show jumped forward to the next school year in "I Never Sang For My Legal Guardian" with them 15 years old. Eric, however, has still remained the same age.
  3. Just like in Full House (1987), Cory dressed up as Aladdin for his love interest, Topanga. While D.J. thought she saw Steve dressed up as Aladdin. (Scott Weinger did indeed dress up for the appearance).
  4. The title of this episode is based on the Disneyland slogan "The Happiest Place On Earth," even though it takes place at Walt Disney World, the official slogan is actually "The Most Magical Place on Earth."
