S02E01 
  1. The comic that Mr. Turner takes from Cory, and assigns to the class, is Uncanny X-Men #316 (September 1994).

S02E02 
  1. Cory mentions: Jerry and Shoshana (as in Jerry Seinfeld and girl friend Shoshana), Michael and Lisa Marie (as in Michael Jackson and then wife Lisa Marie Presley).

  1. First appearance of the local hang out, Chubbies.
  2. Season 1 Episode 6 of Girl Meets World, Girl Meets Popular, pays homage to this episode of BMW. Riley Matthews (Cory's daughter) gets invited to her first 7th-grade party, like Cory, but her BFF Maya doesn't get an invitation, like Shawn.

Who's Afraid of Cory Wolf?

S02E06 
  1. The title is based on the song from the Disney classic Three Little Pigs (1933), 'Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?' as well as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)
  2. Madame Ouspenskaya is named after Maria Ouspenskaya, who played the gypsy woman Maleva in The Wolf Man (1941) and Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943).
  3. This episode takes place from October 30 to October 31, 1994.
  4. Like Dinosaurs: Little Boy Boo (1992), this is a parody of The Wolf Man (1941). Both Dinosaurs (1991) and Boy Meets World (1993) were co-created by Michael Jacobs.

Wake Up, Little Cory

S02E07 
  1. The title is based upon the 1957 song "Wake Up Little Susie" written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant and was a big hit for the Everly Brothers reaching #1 on the Billboard charts.

Band on the Run

S02E08 
  1. In this episode, Adam Scott the actor that plays Griff later on in the series appears at Chubbies. He hands Cory his guitar to hold, fueling Cory's and Shawn's desire to start a band to get ladies.
  2. Title based of a song by Paul McCartney and Wings released 1973. The song is on Rolling Stones list of 500 greatest songs of all time.
  3. Alan's band, The Tongues, is made up of real musicians: Norm, singer, guitar (Micky Dolenz of The Monkees), Gordy, guitar (Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick), and Larry, bass (Billy Vera, of Billy Vera and the Beaters).
  4. In this episode Micky Dolenz plays Norm while Rick Nielsen plays Gordy. Later on in Boy Meets World: Rave On (1995), Dolenz returns but as Gordy.
  5. Cory names his fake band The Exits. Fourteen years following the airing of this episode, a indie folk rock group from Brooklyn, New York actually named their band The Exits.
  6. This is the first episode in which Morgan (Lily Gibson) does not appear.
  7. Alan's band, The Tongues, covers Good Lovin by the Young Rascals.

    1. The premise of the episode is fundamentally the same as Cyrano de Bergerac, the play (represented in the episode title).
    2. The title is based on Hector Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac, a French dramatist and duelist who is now best remembered for an overly large nose, as described in the Edmond Rostand's play based on this life.
    3. Allan tells Amy the necklace has 18 pearls, one for each year they were married. Amy responds that they were only married 17 years. At the beginning of the episode, Allan intimates in conversation to Cory and Eric that the wedding anniversary is celebrating 17 years (so he did know at one point!).

    1. The title is based upon a speech that President Richard Nixon made before the press defending himself during the Watergate affair: "...people have got to know whether or not their president is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook."

    1. The flash-forward with Cory repeating "They want you to take the rolls!" is referenced in Girl Meets World episode 2.4, "Girl Meets Pluto."
    2. The restaurant in Cory's vision is named Menell's after writer and executive story editor Jeff Menell.

    4. This is the first episode since Boy Meets World: Pilot (1993) to not be directed by David Trainer.

      1. This is the last episode to feature Eric's best friend Jason Marsden (the character's name was the same as the actor). Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) and Jason Marsden are best friends in real life as well.
      2. This is the last time that Lily Gibson played Morgan. After this episode, she was replaced with Lindsay Ridgeway until Girl Meets World: Girl Meets Goodbye (2017), where both actresses tag-team the role.
