Season 4

Ducky Mountain High

1. Only series appearance of the Canadian Beagle Boys: Backwoods Beagle, Bacon Beagle, and Binky Beagle. Notably, Bacon Beagle is the only known Beagle Boy that is not actually a beagle (he's a pig, apparently due to a bad case of "swine flu" when he was a child).
2. Final series appearance of Goldie O'Gilt.
3. Final series appearance of Bubba the Caveduck.
4. This episode is rather exceptional due to Flintheart Glomgold's murderous intent. While Glomgold usually attempts to thwart Scrooge, cheat him, or steal his money, he rarely tries to seriously hurt Scrooge. By leaving him tied to a log in an active sawmill, presumably to die, he crosses a line he doesn't usually cross.

Attack of the Metal Mites

1. Series debut of Dijon.
2. This marks the last time in the series that Fenton is seen wearing the Gizmo-suit. Technically, that means this episode is the final series appearance of Gizmoduck, at least with Fenton as Gizmoduck. Mrs. Crackshell, Huey, Dewie, Louie, and Webbigail each briefly wear the suit in subsequent episodes, but call themselves "Gizmo-M'Ma" and "Gizmokid."
3. While Dijon makes his first appearance in the series in this episode, he had previously appeared as a minor villain in Ducktales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp (1990), which was released the month before this episode aired.
4. The original Gizmo-suit is destroyed in this episode. Even though Gyro rebuilds the suit for Fenton, he is never again seen wearing the suit in the series (though it is inferred that he continued to operate as Gizmo-duck off-screen and in the spin off Darkwing Duck).

The Duck Who Knew Too Much

1. Huey, Dewey, and Louie do not appear in this episode.
2. Fenton breaks the fourth wall by looking toward the screen and saying "don't try this at home kids."
3. The spies' password is "Oppenheimer." The character Von Doghausen remarks "what a stupid password." Von Doghausen is voiced by Alan Oppenheimer.
4. Final series appearance of Gandra Dee.
5. In this episode Mrs. Crackshell becomes the last adult in the series to wear the Gizmo-suit. Technically, she is the only adult to be seen wearing the "new" Gizmo-suit after Gyro rebuilds it for Fenton. Fenton is never seen wearing the suit after it was originally destroyed in the previous episode.
6. Moral: Tell the truth. Being drawn into a tangle of lies is far more trouble than it's worth.

New Gizmo-Kids on the Block

1. The Duchess from season 1's episode, "Hotel Strangeduck" makes a cameo appearance in this episode as an actress on Mrs. Crackshell's soap opera.
2. Scrooge says he must save "art for art's sake." The phrase art for art's sake (or it's Latin equivalent "are gratia artis," is the motto for MGM.
3. The Beagles shop (fittingly) at Crooks Brothers. This is a reference to Brooks Brothers men's clothing stores.
4. Final series appearance of Ma Beagle.
5. Final series appearance of Bouncer Beagle.
6. Final series appearance of Mrs. Crackshell.
7. Final appearance of the Gizmo-suit.
8. Huey, Dewie, Louie, and Webbigail all put on the Gizmo-Suit (albeit a shrunken version of the suit). This makes them the only people aside from Fenton and Mrs. Crackshell to have worn the suit.
9. Scrooge's spats, which are normally a bright red, appear as dull brown for portions of the episode. Huey's shirt, similarly is lacking it's usual bright redness.
10. Moral: Girls are just as competent as boys.

Scrooge's Last Adventure

1. Final series appearance of Fenton Crackshell.
2. This was the last single-part episode of the DuckTales series.
3. Clips from this episode was prominently used in "DuckTales: The Movie Special", which aired about three months before the episode.
4. There are several references in the episode to Herman Melville's classic novel, "Moby Dick." Scrooge calls the whalelike computer glitch "Moby Glitch" and Fenton says "call me Ishmael."
5. This episode has a similar set-up to the TaleSpin episode "Bearly Alive", in which one of the characters misinterpret a call saying that one of the characters will die.
6. This episode shares its title with an Italian-produced Uncle Scrooge comic by Francesco Artibani, published in Topolino #2985-2988 in 2013. However, the two stories share no other connection.

The Golden Goose: Part 1

1. Dijon reveals that his brother is named Poupon. Grey Poupon is a type of Dijon Mustard.
2. This is the series finale part 1 of 2.

The Golden Goose: Part 2

1. Fittingly, the villains from the series' very first episode (Flintheart Glomgold and the Beagle Boys) are the main antagonists in this, the final episode.
2. The very last episode.
3. Launchpad usually crashes when he tries to land a plane, but when he tries to crash on purpose, he lands safely.
